Appearance: Euphemia is a willowy young woman, attractive and often appearing both older and younger than her 16 years. She is fairly tall, as seems to be common for the Britannian royal line. Her hair is rosy pink, falling in soft curls to her waist, and is often pinned up modestly. She has soft violet eyes and a fair complexion. Her choice of dress is just that: dresses for the most part, usually in white or pastel colours. However she has been known to dress up in "common" clothes to attempt to escape the palace.

Personality: Euphemia is a sweet, gentle, and extremely polite young woman. She always places the feelings of others, no matter who they might be, above herself. In many cases, she'll even place her life on the line to protect both those she cares about, and complete strangers. She often comes off as naive because of her generous nature, however she is not a pushover. She will faithfully stand by any cause she believes to be right, even if it puts herself in danger.

She believes in Britannia's right to rule the world, although she often thinks that the methods set forth by the Emperor are too harsh. It is a point of contention between she and her older sister Cornelia.

Abilities/Strengths: Although she may not seem like it because of her gentleness, Euphemia is a natural leader. Her presence both calms and inspires those to do the right thing, simply because of her ideals. She is also adept at piloting a Knightmare Frame, learned from her older sister Cornelia, whom she respects and adores. Her first Geass-rampage, oddly, shows she is not unfamiliar with heavy weaponry, although whether that was because of the Geass or because of prior learning in unknown.

Weaknesses: Although she is tall for her age, Euphemia is not physically strong, in fact she is rather delicate. Her kind nature, likewise, can easily be injured by those who appear heartless or needlessly cruel.

History: The third princess of the Britannia Imperial Family. Lelouch's half-sister and innocent to a fault, she was the sister Lelouch cared most about after Nunnally. She used Clovis' death as an excuse to enter Area 11 and was known for loving and conversing with animals. After meeting Suzaku, she requested his assistance to prevent any unnecessary deaths around her. During the Lake Kawaguchi Convention Center Hotel incident, Lelouch (as Zero) noted that she had not changed since childhood and was not surprised to see her offering herself as a hostage in exchange for the safety of other people.

Euphemia was the Lieutenant-Governor of Area 11, a role she admittedly did not enjoy. She admired her older sister, Cornelia, but despised all combat in general. Her ideals conflicted with reality and put her in a situation similar to that of Suzaku Kururugi. This in turn influenced her decision of choosing Suzaku as her Knight. It was an action which caused Cornelia to worry that such ideals would get her sister into trouble. Cornelia warned Euphemia that the policy of discrimination against Honorary Britannians like Suzaku was so firmly-established that she might have to be exposed to the rigors and dangers of competing for the throne in order to challenge it. She, however, stuck to her decision of having Suzaku as her personal Knight. Later, Suzaku himself voluntarily steps down due to his self-castigation on being arrested on the grounds of a shameful act of fleeing the scene during a significant battle with Zero. Euphemia eventually convinced him to rejoin her, while the latter was in another battle, by declaring her love for him. Euphemia was also capable of piloting a Knightmare Frame, as seen in the battle at the Empire's Shikinejima Island Base.

Euphemia was the second person in the royal family to know that Lelouch is alive and first to know his alter ego as Zero, having deduced it after the hotel hijacking incident. Euphemia was quite close to Lelouch and Nunnally in the past and, wishing to live those days once again, she declared the establishment of a Special Administration Region in Japan. Lelouch initially opposed this proposal, but Euphemia convinced him otherwise when she revealed that she was doing it for the sake of Nunnally and had abdicated her right to succeed the Britannian throne. When Lelouch jokingly ordered her to kill the Japanese people, it was just as his power of Geass was permanently activated. Euphemia, at first, refused the order, stating that she did not wish to kill. This made her the only person to ever resist the Geass, however briefly. Under its influence, she and the Britannian army ended up massacring countless innocent people. Regretfully, Lelouch fatally shot her to end her rampage (whilst revealing that he may have considered Euphemia to be his first love) and she shared her last moments with Suzaku. Euphemia died believing that the Japanese people were happy with the Japan that she had created. Her death created a firm resolve in both Suzaku and Cornelia to defeat Zero once and for all.

Premise: AU!Euphemia's story changes when she is still a young child. After Britannia invades Japan, terrorists break into the palace and attempt to kill members of the Royal Family. Although many of them are killed by soldiers, the remaining ones flee with a hostage -- young princess Euphemia, only a few years old. Although exhaustive searches are conducted and many Japanese are interrogated and killed for information, the Britannians are unable to retrieve their precious princess, and reluctantly is declared dead.

The Japanese, however, do not kill Euphie. Instead they raise her in secret, far away from possible discovery. As she grows older, they tell her that her royal family never came to find her. It is their intention to one day use her as a bargaining chip against their oppressors.
